Sweet corn, celeriac, brownies and Bollywood – February 25

After a mild start to summer, we welcome back Elphin Grove Farm this week with their new season sweet corn and celeriac. Modo Mio Naked returns with their decadent brownies along with Little Rivers Brewing Co. and their handcrafted range of Tasmanian beers. It will be the last market for Gryphonwood Vineyards so be sure to pop by Ben and Brenda’s stall to say hello, and for the last chance to stock up on their wines with a special offer of $25 per bottle or $44 for a twin pack!

If you’re heading to Symphony under the Stars in City Park Saturday evening, pack up your picnic basket with some tasty goodies from the market. As well as local wines and beer, Trio of Dips will have some tasty dips and crackers available. Stock up on some amazing cheeses from Coal River Farm, Elgaar Farm and Southern Sky Cheese Company and a baguette or two from Apiece, Manubread or Sandy’s Sourdough. 41 Degrees South Tasmania will have their hot smoked salmon fillets and rillettes, and Real Beef‘s charcuterie range will also be on offer.

There will be plenty of berries, vegetables, mushrooms, meat, seafood, dairy, eggs, hazelnuts, honey, preserves, pastries, olive oil, plants, seedlings, hot food and drinks available, and the local group of Bollywood dancers will be popping in to entertain the market crowd mid-morning.
