Avocados, kimchi and Easter treats – April 15

Avoland Avocados make a welcome return to the market this Saturday with their Tasmanian grown avocados. They are only available for a limited time, so make the most of them while you can! We also welcome new producer KimchiMe with their four varieties of kimchi – mixed cabbage, red cabbage, beetroot and kale. The vegetables are grown by Sue and Tom in North West Tasmania, and Sue follows an authentic kimchi recipe handed down by her grandmother and mother. Vix Kitch will have their tasty blackcurrant jam available this weekend, perfect for spreading on scones or sourdough bread with some Tasmanian Butter Co. cultured butter, or on freshly baked hot cross buns from Manubread or Sandy’s Sourdough. To satisfy your chocolate fix be sure to pop by a pinch of for some uniquely flavoured Easter eggs, or indulge in some decadent chocolate brownies from Modo Mio Naked. Turkish Tukka will be introducing a new gozleme to customers – chicken in pepper sauce, spinach and fetta, and the morning’s entertainment will be brought to you by High Tempo and Corey Davey. The team from the Star Theatre in Invermay will be visiting the market prior to their Easter Festival this weekend.
