A big thank you to everyone who visited Harvest last weekend to help celebrate our 5th birthday. This Saturday we welcome Tamar Artisan Smallgoods with their dry cured bacon smoked with fruit tree logs and infused with flavours such as chilli, maple and garlic. The process takes around 18 days, resulting in a full flavoured, smoky bacon. Kooee! All Natural Snacks returns this Saturday with their tasty beef jerky, perfect for a nutritious snack on your next adventure. Avocado Moon and the Three Fermented Queens also return along with Village Olive Grove and Thirlstane Gardens, and One on the Slide returns after a busy weekend at Festivale, as well as Turkish Tukka from Party in the Paddock.
The Tassie Hawks will be visiting Harvest Saturday morning as part of their Australia Post Community Camp activities while they’re in town for the JLT Community Series match against Geelong on Friday evening. Hawthorn mascot Hawka will be looking for young helpers as he forages for ingredients to include in his recipe of the week.
The Rotary Club of Youngtown join us as Friends of Harvest this week, volunteering on the gates as well as a cardboard box boat building demonstration ahead of the Soggy Bottom Cardboard Box Boat Regatta at Waverley Lake Park to be held on Sunday 5 March. The Regatta is to raise awareness of and funds for Tasmanians with Type 1 Diabetes. For more information visit: soggybottomregatta.org.
