It is with mixed emotions that this week we farewell Yusuf and the team from Turkish Tukka from the market this weekend. Having been a long standing member of the Harvest family, we have loved watching Yusuf start and build his business from the ground up and we are thrilled to have been part of Turkish Tukka’s journey. We can’t wait to see what great things Turkish Tukka goes on to achieve in their bricks and mortar store located at 77 George Street (you can smell the delicious charcoal grill from miles away!).
As the old saying goes, when one door closes another door opens. As we farewell Turkish Tukka, we also welcome back to the market Rumdoodle Farm, who will be coming this weekend with their lamb, hogget and prime mutton, as well as mince. Strelleyfield Free Range Duck will also be at the market this weekend and we continue to be spoilt with plump, sweet and juicy fresh Autumn raspberries from both Bioberries and Westerway Raspberry Farm
Many of our stallholders will have some great ideas for Mother’s Day this Sunday, so be sure to pop down and check out what’s on offer. The choc-coated hazelnuts from Hazelbrae, the honey gift packs from West Bee, or the triple gin gift pack from Metcalf Distilleries are just a couple of ideas to help you spoil mum! Niche Market Bazaar will be on across the road in the Albert Hall as well, so why not make a morning of it?
