HARVEST MARKET 14 September 2019 – THIS WEEK

Spring in Tasmania is a busy time in the garden, and this week at Harvest we have everything you need to get ready for a plentiful harvest as we head into the warmer months. Frank’s Char will be back with their biochar, a perfect ingredient for your garden all year round to boost plant growth and increase the sustainability of your soil. Plants Direct will have their usual selection of ornamental plants and flowers, vegetables, fruit trees and herbs. With great plants and great advice, you can be guaranteed to walk away with an armful of product and a headful of knowledge to kickstart your garden. And don’t forget the fertiliser! Tasmanian Seaweed Fertiliser will be back this week with their range of nutritional plant supplements, perfect for the home gardener. Using Bull Kelp harvested from the rocky West Coast of Tasmania as the key ingredient, their fertiliser works in harmony with nature to improve soil without harmful effects on the environment.

With a busy weekend of gardening planned make sure you keep your energy levels up by stocking your fridge and pantry with all of the wonderful fresh produce, baked goods, artisan treats and beverages that Harvest has to offer. With dirty hands, sunshine and a belly full of good food the gardener’s soul is complete.

Our ‘Friends of Harvest’ this week is the ‘Launceston Learning Festival’. Have a chat to one of their friendly volunteers to find out what’s in store for this 2 day school-holiday festival (8th – 9th Oct) for children aged 9 to 14 years. The range of learning activities on offer include film making, photography, drone flying, mountain biking, song writing and much more. Come down this weekend to register your child for this fantastic community event!

See you at the market.
