Harvest Market 23rd November – THIS WEEK

The sun is shining, the days are heating up and the smell of Spring is in the air. Just when you thought life couldn’t get any better, you realise there are five Saturdays this month which means five MOFO Sessions at Harvest! Come down this weekend and enjoy the fourth instalment of our Harvest Market Hoedowns, with the South American folk sounds of ‘The New Holland Honeyeaters’ and the bluegrass beats of ‘Montz Matsumoto and Paddy Montgomery’. Grab a fistful of buttery croissant, put your dancing shoes on, and burn up the asphalt carpark with your best Saturday morning moves.

This week it’s raining berries, with Bioberries and Sheffield Berry Gardens both in residence bringing fresh strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and a selection of frozen product. Get your floral fix with Heathermoor Peonies and Lily Farm Direct this weekend. Their beautiful blooms will brighten any room and are a sure mother-in-law pleaser. Take home a meaty treat from Real Beef’s selection of organically raised, grass fed Angus beef cuts, or why not treat yourself to one of their premium dry-aged steaks. You’ll be glad you did!

There is plenty happening in and around Launceston this weekend. The RSPCA’s annual Paws ‘n’ Claws event is on at the Country Club Villas this Sunday, a family friendly day including Santa photos with your pet, dog agility games, $20 micro-chipping and educational advice from pet care professionals.

Or jump in the car and head north to Mount Gnomon Farm for the ‘Bubble & Squeal’ festival. Guy will be launching his new line of cider and bacon beer in style with great food and a line up of entertainment by internationally recognised artists.

And don’t forget the Farmgate Festival is on this weekend, with many of our regular Harvest stallholders opening their farm gates and inviting you for a behind the scenes look at how they grow their wonderful produce and make their value-added artisan treats! This is an opportunity not to be missed.

See you at the market!
