Well what a whirlwind month it has been! We have undertaken tasks we never thought we would have to at the market, ranging from learning how to build websites to spending our Saturdays in a cool room at sub 4 degrees packing boxes filled with the best produce Tasmania has to offer. To say it has been a steep learning curve would be an understatement!
After a week to catch our breath and consolidate our new systems and processes last weekend, this Saturday we are officially launching our click and collect service, which will allow people outside the 7248, 7249 and 7250 post codes to access the online market and all the wonderful produce it has to offer. To utilise this service, simply log on to the online market and place an order between 8:30am Monday and 3pm Wednesday for collection on Saturday between 8am and 2:30pm. Once your order is ready for collection on Saturday, you will receive an email and/or SMS to inform you it is ready for collection from our warehouse on Churchill Park Drive in Invermay. You can access the online market at www.harvestmarketonline.org.au – please note, delivery is still limited to the 7248, 7249 and 7250 post codes.
This week we are celebrating all things DIY, with Modo Mio Naked bringing to market a brilliant bake at home quinoa cupcake kit – what an awesome activity to do with the kids whilst you’re all at home together. Marcus from One on the Slide has some terrific meal kits with DIY Bao Buns (3 per pack) and Slider Kits (4 per pack), which are a great, fun dinner solution and are absolutely delicious!
Va from Laos Fresh Farm has some seasonal leeks, brussels sprouts, kale and diakon radishes and we welcome plants direct with punnets of home grown loose Birds Eye Chillies – 100g for $10. The season for fresh blueberries is over, but Three Peaks Organics has you covered with their freeze dried blueberries, which add a real hit of flavour to your morning oats from The Grain Family. Julie from Artisa has also put together some special prices for our online customers so be sure to give her plant based cheeses a try!
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported our online market and have been patient with us as we have found our feet. As you all know, now more than ever, it is so important to support our local growers and producers. Thank you!
