Cherries return to Harvest this Saturday with Ferniehurst Cherries and Lees Orchard bringing their early season cherries – hooray! But it’s not just cherry season that brings the tastes of summer to market as Sheffield Berry Gardens, Westerway and Seven Springs Farm will have their sweet, juicy Tasmanian strawberries, whilst Thirlstane Gardens will have an assortment of their beautiful fresh lettuce and herbs, including new season basil.
For your weekend main course go no further than Strelleyfield Farm Free Range Duck, add some asparagus from Newry Farm Asparagus as their season draws to a close. Village Olive Grove joins us with their full-flavoured extra virgin olive oil, along with Tasman Sea Salt and their sea salt flakes from the East Coast. As a final treat, check out the great Christmas gifts at many of our stallholders including Hazelbrae, Brady’s Lookout Cider, a Pinch of …, Taste Tam O’ Shanter andVix Kitch.
Although rain is forecast for Saturday with a high of 23º and a low of 16º, the Harvest stall has umbrellas to keep you dry while doing your shopping.
