Lamb, blooms and brews – April 29

Rumdoodle Farm returns to the market this Saturday with their Wiltshire Horn lamb, hogget, mutton, and lamb cabana, perfect as a tasty snack on its own or enjoy with some delicious cheese and sourdough bread from our Harvest cheesemakers and bakers. Plenty of floral blooms will be on offer this week with a variety of fresh cut flowers from Southern Flowers, and Asiatic and Oriental lilies from Lily Farm. Berry season is winding down so be sure to visit the Sheffield Berry Gardens stall while you can, and it will be the last opportunity for cobs of fresh sweet corn from Elphin Grove Farm. Your beverage needs will be covered this weekend with cider and perry from Lost Pippin, handcrafted beers from Seven Sheds, kombucha from Avocado Moon, and specialty locally roasted coffee from Provenance Coffee Co. and Ritual Coffee.

The Tassie Hawks will be in town for the Blue Ribbon Cup match against St Kilda on Saturday afternoon, so kids, be sure to keep your eye out for Hawka the Club mascot who likes to do a spot of shopping for some healthy treats before the game. Balloon artist Jeff ‘The Uncanny’ Hayes will be entertaining market goers with his twisted balloon creations, as well as musicians High Tempo, James Ballard and Ruben Reeves.
