The Annual Sawtooth ARI Gallery Fundraiser returns Friday the 30th August. The Annual Fundraiser is a fabulous event that helps to support and encourage the continued presentation of contemporary art at Sawtooth ARI.
The Annual Fundraiser is a key event for the non-for-profit organisation that aims to highlight and celebrate Launceston, Tasmanian and national artists that are linked to the gallery. Previous donors including Glover Prize winners and finalists, University of Tasmania Honours Prize recipients, RACT Portraiture Prize winners and finalists, alongside established and emerging artists from across the state and nationally.
All proceeds raised from the August 30th event will go towards investing in Sawtooth’s capacity to lead as an artist run experimental space for artists in the North of the state, alongside providing staff with professional development and operational costs.
Director Liam James is inviting the Launceston community to come along to the Auction on August 20th to participate in celebrating Sawtooth, the artists it works with, and the opportunity it provides for artists in Tasmania boasting six galleries that are unique in scale and architecture to the state and the region.
The Sawtooth Annual Fundraiser takes place on Friday 30th of August with doors and registration open from 630pm. All welcome.
