The Harvest Launceston Community Farmers’ Market community bids a sad farewell to one of our market family members, Greg Hannan. Greg was an essential ingredient in the early years of establishing the market as an iconic Launceston destination. Greg joined the market early on as one of our on the ground volunteers, becoming a familiar face at pack down. He worked closely with market managers to establish an effective volunteer strategy that engages with local communities as well as individuals. His commitment to and involvement with the volunteer team saw him join the Board where his sound counsel proved invaluable. Greg’s sense of humour, love of good food and wine, his empathy and intellect has left an indelible mark on the Harvest community and we would like to express our sadness and condolences to his family for their loss. A memorial service for Greg will be held on 21st January 2020 at 2:30 pm at Franklin Grove.
