Harvest Market acknowledges the Aboriginal People of Lutruwita Tasmania as the original and ongoing custodians of the land on which we meet and pays its respects to elders past, present, and emerging.

Harvest Market is committed to reconciliation and supporting indigenous communities.

Harvest Launceston Community Farmers’ Market is a not-for-profit community organisation (it’s in the name) run almost entirely by volunteers from the ground to the board and everywhere in between.

As such, you can find a copy of our charter on our Meet and Greet page. We are independently audited every year and a copy of our compliance certificate can be provided on request.

Harvest is hands down the best farmers' market I've ever been to

I want that one

There is no one section, its just the vibe of the thing, its all part of it, this is what I'm getting at. That's my point. It's the vibe of it. Again, it's just the vibe of the thing.

Your Market

Take in the atmosphere and take out baskets brimming with the freshest, fruit and veg, meats and seafood, artisan bread, pastry and dairy. Coupled with handcrafted beer, mead, cider, and spirits plus honey, nuts and grains, pickles and preserves, cured meats, sausage and salumi, and flowers and edible plants, berries, cherries, seasonal specialties and plenty more.

Harvest provides a critical outlet for Tasmania’s primary producers and a platform for small businesses. An essential link in the food chain that keeps millions of dollars in the local economy every year. By shopping at Harvest you are supporting the local food economy and the Tasmanian community. Plus, your food is heaps more delicious, and usually cheaper than a major supermarket chain. Win in win!

The very best of Tassie, every Saturday

Harvest Launceston Community Farmers’ Market – or Harvest to locals – is a Launceston icon. Since 2012, Harvest has been the focal point for the community, showcasing the very best of local primary produce and handmade food that is truly paddock-to-plate. Sold to you by the growers and makers themselves, every Saturday rain hail or shine.

Tasmanian Poetry Festival

The Stranded Wailers

Wailing as you’ve never known it. The Stranded Wailers are a pub choir that revives and shares the sea shanties of old.  Truly a moving experience to join in on. The power of singing together with others is well known. We’re over the moon to harbour the good ship Stranded Wailers in 2023.

Over 70 Local Businesses

Harvest Market is the Saturday home of over 70 local businesses that include organic primary producers, value-adders, chefs, producers, butchers and bakers. But no candlestick makers. You can’t eat a candle, so you can’t sell them at Harvest. Harvest has hosted 135 local businesses since 2012, with many going on to become local icons.

100% People

Harvest Market is a not-for-profit community organisation, run almost entirely by volunteers. From the board to the ground and everywhere in between, these people turn out for for their community because they love it. Pure and Simple.

Since 2012 Harvest market has racked up some pretty impressive numbers. These are just a few that we’re particularly proud of.
