This week we are excited to announce the return of Tamar Valley Truffles with their delectable fresh truffles and range of truffle infused products. Why not treat yourself to a bottle of truffle oil and turn an ordinary meal into something extraordinary!
We also welcome a new stallholder this week – Hillwood Fresh Food Co. – bringing to you their first harvest of succulent oyster mushrooms. Perfect for Sunday morning breakfast sautéed with butter, garlic, salt, pepper and a slice of crusty sourdough from one of Harvest’s three artisan bread makers – Sandy’s Sourdough, Apiece, and Manu Breads.
Fork It Farm return this week and are now offering you duck and quail eggs in addition to their tasty range of pork and charcuterie products. But be quick – they are sure to sell out fast!
Tas Daffodils will be saying farewell until next year following this weeks market, so make sure you stock up on Donna’s beautiful bulbs this weekend to get your garden ready to sing with colour in spring.
Plastic Free July is now full steam ahead with Plastic Free Launceston hosting fun and informative activities at Harvest for the entire month. Workshops for the remainder of the month include:
- Making Bees Wax Wraps – Saturday 13 July
- Composting – Saturday 20 July
- Sewing reusable bags – Saturday 27 July
We encourage you to take part in these activities or have a chat with the Plastic Free Launceston volunteers who will be more than willing to share many practical ways that you can reduce your use of single-use plastic in everyday life.
Our honey stalls will also be selling beeswax wraps for the month of July so be sure to pick one up and go without cling wrap….for good!
See you at the market!
