Scrumptious ideas to add sparkle to your Christmas hamper

This week at Harvest it is raining berries with Westerway Raspberry Farm, Bioberries and Sheffield Berry Gardens bringing an assortment of plump strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and gooseberries. And word on the street is that All Things Cherry cherries are back this week! The long wait for these ruby red bunches of sweet delights is almost over and a sure sign that Christmas is here. We will also keep you posted on the return of all our regular summer visitors with their sought after cherries and apricots.

Avoid the rush and start your Christmas shopping at Harvest this weekend…and don’t forget to bring an extra bag! We have speciality oils, jams, salts, pickles and honey.

Then there is beer from Seven Shed Brewery, gin from Metcalf Distilleries and mead by Wanderers Mead together with sparkling cider from Brady’s Lookout Cider to add some sparkle to your holidays.

Condiments galore can be found at Taste of Tam’O Shanter, Vix Kitch and Tasmanian Wasabi Products

Sheffield Berry Gardens makes jams from their delicious berries and West Bee Honey has some creative gift packs of honey jars. Have a chat with Tristan at Honey Tasmania for the perfect honey for your ham glaze and do not forget to add the finishing touch with some salty magic from A Pinch of Tasmania. If you prefer to add some spice to your life, seek out Paul’s Hot Sauce and do not forget take a break from the heat in the kitchen with a cuppa from The Tea Equation.

Cool climate extra virgin olive oil is an essential ingredient for any Harvest basket and all our producers, The Village Olive Grove, Coronea Grove and Lentara Grove have a range of gift ideas, from small bottles to litre casks and tins.

Have you got your Christmas pudding yet? Tasmanian Natural Garlic & Tomatoes will have her wonderful fruitful puddings as well as newly smoked garlic, and garlic scape pesto.

Ben McKinnon and Cotton Pony will be entertaining us on the SOMA Community stage.

The weather on Saturday will be a beautiful sunny 24º. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

See you at the market!
