Spring is time for change and at Harvest this week things are moving around. We have taken delivery of the Mona Foma Soma, and the sound stage settling in to its new home at the market. This means we have had to move a few of your favourite stalls around. Apples, mushrooms and Mount Gnomon Farm are in different spots, as is the Wanderlust van, if you need help locating them, check in at the Harvest stall and we will direct you.
Blossoms are brightening up the streets of Launceston as Spring springs into action bringing beautiful scents and warmer weather. At Harvest this Saturday we have tulips, potted and cut to add that Spring feeling to the house. To brighten up your garden, Frank’s Char will be back with their biochar, a perfect ingredient to boost plant growth and increase the sustainability of your soil. Plants Direct will have their usual selection of ornamental plants and flowers, vegetables, fruit trees and herbs. With great plants and great advice, you can be guaranteed to walk away with an armful of product and an abundance of knowledge to kickstart your garden. With a busy weekend of gardening ahead, make sure you keep your energy levels up by stocking your fridge and pantry with all of the wonderful fresh produce, baked goods, artisan treats and beverages that Harvest has to offer. With dirty hands, sunshine, rain and a belly full of good food, the gardener’s soul is complete.
We have BeatStreet to kick off our new community stage and we would love to hear from anyone who has ideas on how best to make this stage sing for all of us.
Showers are forecast for the weekend and the UV index will be 3.
