Spring is in the air, so what better time to fill your home with the aroma of freshly cut lilies or tulips from Lily Farm. It’s also the time of year for fresh rhubarb from Tasmanian Natural Garlic & Tomatoes. As well as rhubarb, Annette will be at Harvest with her capsicum, chilli and eggplant seedlings. If you haven’t already planted your tomato seedlings, get in quick this Saturday to pick some up as we are coming to the end of tomato seedling season.
Seven Sheds Brewery and Brady’s Lookout Cider will be at the market this weekend with handcrafted ciders and beers, and (not wanting to cause a commotion) it’s only 6 weeks until Christmas, so it’s probably time to start stocking up the old cellar! Tamar Artisan Smallgoods and the Avocado Moon Kombucha return for their fortnightly visits.
The Launceston Human Library will be at the market this weekend sharing their stories. They are a volunteer organisation that aims to counteract prejudice by enabling people to meet and chat with people they would not normally encounter. This Saturday there will be the opportunity to meet some of their Human Books in short one on one conversations where they share a wide range of life experiences.
