See you Saturday!

We’re settling into August with another full Saturday ahead, and plenty of good late-winter-maybe-early-spring produce around the market. The mornings are still cold, but the first signs of the seasonal shift are beginning to creep onto the stalls.

It’s good to welcome Brady’s Lookout Cider back after a short break, which we hear has involved some work on the cellar door. Halls BBQ and Malvina’s Paellas are also back this week, rounding out a full complement of Ready-to-Eat stallholders. We’ll refrain from discussing recent World Cup results with Juan.

On the produce front, look for sweet, dense heads of broccoli, golden beetroot, butter turnips, crisp young carrots and sugarloaf cabbages. Tiny bunches of tender Tuscan kale and peppery black radishes are also worth grabbing when you see them, while leeks and Brussels sprouts continue to make the most of winter.

As always, thanks to our stallholders, volunteers and patrons for keeping Harvest thriving each Saturday. We’ll see you at the market.
