This week we welcome a new stallholder to the market, the Tasmanian Tonic Company. The Tasmanian Tonic Company was born out of a desire to complement the experience of fine Tasmanian spirits, particularly gin; to provide a range of uniquely Tasmanian flavours that enhance the spirit. Andrew and Dina’s sophisticated tonic water syrups allow the spirit to be at the forefront. They are very low in sugar, contain naturally derived quinine (direct from cinchona bark) and utilise singular Tasmanian botanical flavours to open your palette and enhance the spirit.
Plants Direct will have their first tomato seedlings at Harvest this week, with a range of early varieties for those lucky people who have a nice warm spot to get a headstart on their crop. This week will also see Elkie Kershaw take to the SOMA community stage to busk from 9:30am to 11:30am – we can’t wait for her to share some of her beautiful tunes with us all!
Have you tried Willie’s range of craft beers or meads from Seven Sheds Brewery? His range includes beers inspired by ingredients grown and produced in the Cradle Coast region including quinoa, oats, raspberries and honey. While the style is heavily influenced by English and European ales, Seven Sheds also produces quirky styles including a beetroot steam ale, a barrel-aged India pale ale and a tart cherry saison brewed with Kentish cherries. Come down this weekend to talk to the brewer himself about the fine art of craft brewing. And don’t forget to take home a tipple for later!
With so many reasons to visit Harvest this weekend, we will see you at the market!
