Welcome Winter: Tea and Soup – 1st June, 2019

Winter is certainly upon us with snow-dusted mountains and crisp winter mornings having been the flavour of the past week.  To kick off the cold season with a bang, we welcome another new stallholder to Harvest, The Tea Equation.  The Tea Equation source their leaves from a small grower in Tasmania’s Huon Valley, which are then complemented with handpicked Tasmanian fruits, flowers and herbs.  We are very excited to have some tea at the market just in time for Winter!

Sharron from The Wooden Ladle will also be back this weekend with her deliciously warming soups.  Be sure to follow our instagram stories to see which flavours she has on Saturday!  Strelleyfield Duck will be at the market this weekend with a limited amount of Duck Marylands and Duck Breasts, so be sure to drop in and say hi to Matthew.

For your winter soups and stews, Laos Fresh Farm and Steve’s Vegies have gorgeous winter produce at the moment.  Old School Farm will not be at the market this weekend.  Real Beef will have their ethically raised, grass-fed, dry-aged Angus beef, which represents Real (see what I did there!) value when compared with similar cuts at the big supermarkets.  And finally, why not treat your dog this weekend – Rumdoodle Farm will have diced pet meat, bones and some meaty bones for your pets this weekend as well as their usual offerings of lamb, hogget and prime mutton for the humans.

The weather is looking crisp, cold and sunny, with a high of 16° – a perfect Winter’s morning to visit us at Harvest.

Join us on Saturday!
