Winter Warmers – 8th June, 2019

Winter warmth is what it is all about at Harvest Launceston Community Farmers’ Market and on the farm with stallholder Mount Gnomon Farm this weekend.  As winter sets in Mount Gnomon Farm is having a last feast before they go into hibernation for the cold months. This Sunday the farm will be open for feasting, mulled wine, music and warmth from local fire pots created to showcase the elements that make Mount Gnomon Farm unique.

At the market The Woode Ladle will have Potato and Leek soup and Creamy Mushroom and thyme soup both served with some delicious sourdough from Harvest baker Manubread.  We will have some olive oil back at the market this weekend, with Coronea Grove returning after their harvest.  The Tea Equation will be back again as well as plenty of delicious coffee, veggies, eggs and hot food.

Hazelbrae Hazelnuts will be at the market with the BEST dry roasted hazelnuts in Australia (and that’s official), they’ll also have some of their chocolate coated nuts, which make a great gift, or just a treat for yourself on the long weekend!  Brady’s Lookout will have their mulled cider again this week – it’s deliciously warming to sip away at as you explore the market.

The weather is looking like a perfect crisp winter’s morning with a low of 7 and a high of 13 predicted, but most importantly the sun should be out!  See you at the market….

Join us on Saturday!
