VixKitch is operated by Vicky Cowan. Vicky uses local grown produce wherever possible to produce her unique line of jams, jellies, relishes and sauces. No artificial colouring or flavours are added and when available organic or spray free ingredients are used.
Vicky lives in Launceston and makes all her products in her Registered Kitchen which is regularly inspected by the City of Launceston Council. All labels comply with food standard regulations.
Vicky uses traditional and family recipes for many of her jams, marmalades and pickles; for example, her Rhubarb and Vanilla Jam, Quince Jam, Jelly and Paste and Tomato Relish are traditional recipe. Onion Marmalade and Beetroot Marmalade are contemporary products.
For many of her chutneys, Vicky draws on tastes experienced during her travels in Asia, for example her Tomato Chilli Pickle, Khaza, Madras and Rhubarb Chutneys are examples of travel inspired products in the VixKitch range.
