Perform on our SOMA Stage

Show us what you got!

Do you want to get your music out there? Busking at Harvest Launceston Community Farmers’ Market is a great way to get your music heard as well as earn some money and have a heap of fun!

Each Saturday we have two sessions available for local and visiting buskers to play on our SOMA Community Stage. The first session runs from 8:20-10:20am and the second from 10:30am-12:30pm. Many of our buskers will repeat a 45 minute set over the 2 hours as the crowd at Harvest is constantly changing! In an average market, Harvest has anywhere between 2500 and 7000 patrons come through the gate, many of whom love to sit down and listen to whoever is performing on the stage that day. It’s a great way to get your name out there and get other paid bookings as well.

In  return, we ask that you furnish the market with 4 volunteers (2 for 45 minutes, 2 for 2 hours). These volunteers will receive the same privileges as our regular Harvest Heroes, and will be able to engage with the patrons throughout the course of the market. We have found that this is a very effective way of creating engagement and interest in your organisation. Much, much more effective than simply handing our flyers.

If you would like to apply for our busking program, please read our busking code of conduct and fill out the form below. We can’t wait to welcome you to our busking program and help you to get your music out there!
