What does volunteering involve?
- Set-up and pack-down market marquees, seating areas and signage (some heavy lifting, 1-hour shift)
- Welcome visitors at the market entrances, count attendance and offer assistance to patrons (2-hour shift)
- Engaging with stallholders and other volunteers to achieve tasks as directed by the market manager.
- Representing Harvest itself at the market’s information stall (2-hour shift, only available to volunteers that have completed a minimum of 20 volunteer shifts previously)
- Educating market goers about our FOGO program, waste and recycling and which bin is the correct bin for their waste (2-hour shift). We will train you on this, and our system.
