HARVEST MARKET 15th Feb 2020 – THIS WEEK

This weekend we are singing hip hip HOORAY to Harvest, celebrating 8 years of bringing you one of the best farmers’ markets in the country. That’s 416 Saturday mornings that the asphalt carpark on Cameron St has been transformed into a vibrant community hub celebrating Tasmania’s best produce, gourmet food, beer, wine and home-made treats. We’d like to thank the Launceston community for supporting us over the past 8 years and we look forward to many more to come!!

Don’t let the birthday girl down and join the celebrations this weekend at Harvest with our usual line up of everyone’s favourites. Fresh fruit and veges are plentiful at this time of year so stock up from Feld’s Farm, Steve’s Veges, Laos Fresh Farm and Thirlstane Gardens. Fill your basket with berries from Westerway Raspberry Farm, Bioberries, and Three Peaks Organics, and why not savour the taste of summer by making your own jam! It will be Penna Valley Farm’s last appearance for the season this weekend, so don’t miss out on your share of their sweet, juicy apricots.

Finally, a huge congratulations to our very own Kim Seagram who was recently awarded an Order of Australia Medal at this year’s Australia Day Awards. Kim was a founding committee member of Harvest and has remained a volunteer Board member since the market’s inception, including a stint as President. Kim was recognised for her significant service to tourism and to business in Tasmania, having established two of Launceston’s finest restaurants, the BEST Farmers’ Market in the country, and currently serving as the Chair of FermenTasmania Board. Congratulations Kim…we are so lucky to have you on our team.

Put on your party pants and get down to Harvest this weekend!

Join us on Saturday!
