Fill your basket with artisan treats, your belly with delicious eats and your ears with melodic beats at Harvest…..MOFO is back! For the next month you will be entertained by artists and musicians from near and far, providing a taste of what’s to come at Mono Foma come January 2020. ‘Synthesis’ are kicking things off this weekend, a four-piece band wowing crowds with synth-driven grooves from 930am – 1230pm.
The Great Regional City Challenge will also be launching at 1130am this weekend at Harvest. This is your chance to play an active part in making Launceston one of the great regional cities of the world. Come down and learn how you can share in $100,000 of funding towards a community project that helps build a city that is more liveable, innovative, diverse and connected.
If you need anymore reason to come to Harvest this weekend, we will have our usual selection of stallholders plus seasonal offerings that won’t last long! Fresh asparagus from Newry Farm and Headland Farm Tasmanian Fresh Asparagus. Delicious cuts of rare breed Shropshire lamb from Mount Gnomon Farm, including leg roasts, loin, forequarter chops, ribs and shanks. For the vegetarians and vegans among us, Eliza’s Restaurant is a new ready-to-eat stall offering delectable hot and cold treats. Coconut panko crumbed mushrooms, spicy vegan pies, hand-cut hot chips with aioli using our very own Erinvale Farm Potatoes ……..need we say more!
We’ve also got some great news to share. The Harvest Launceston Community Farmers’ Market has taken out this year’s 2019 Launceston Chamber of Commerce ‘Building Communities’ Award. We were up against some hot competition so it was no easy feat and could not have been achieved without the unwavering support of our dedicated stallholders and marketgoers. Thank you to the community of Launceston for supporting Harvest and we look forward to transforming an asphalt carpark into a vibrant farmers’ market for many more years to come.
See you at the market!
